Garden Gal October to-do-list 2008Right on schedule, the temperature is dropping and gives the signal to our plants that it’s time to rest. As gardeners, we still have some work to do before it’s our turn. Just when you thought you were getting close to finished, here I come with your October To-Do List. The first average frost date is October 8th. D & B Gardening GalThe D & B Gardening Gal is a local lady by the name of Debbie Cooke. Debbie worked as the horticultural assistant at the Ada County Extension office for 13 years diagnosing garden problems, answering garden questions and assisting with the Master Gardener program. She hosted a local garden show for 5 years before beginning to hosting the D&B Garden Show in 2005. She also writes a weekly garden column for the Idaho Press Tribune. |
