The D & B Gardening Gal is a local lady by the name of Debbie Cooke. Debbie worked as the horticultural assistant at the Ada County Extension office for 13 years diagnosing garden problems, answering garden questions and assisting with the Master Gardener program.

 

She hosted a local garden show for 5 years before beginning to hosting the D&B Garden Show in 2005. She also writes a weekly garden column for the Idaho Press Tribune.

 

For the past nine years Debbie has been working as an Urban Forester in Southwest Idaho for three Resource, Conservation and Development councils, through the Idaho Dept. of Lands. She assists small cities with issues regarding trees in their communities.

 

Debbie also has a horticultural consulting business offering complete landscape solutions.

 

Debbie sits on several state and local boards including:

            Project Learning Tree

            State Arbor Day

            Lunaria League

 

She is a Certified Arborist and an advanced Master Gardener.

 

Debbie likes to travel, read, do almost anything outdoors and, of course, and garden.
